Louisiana Progress to Host Town Hall Discussion of New Orleans Municipal Candidate Policy Survey  

Tomorrow, on Tuesday, September 30, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., Louisiana Progress will host a town hall to discuss the responses to its New Orleans municipal candidate policy survey at Beanlandia, 3300 .  

NEW ORLEANS, LA | September 29, 2021—Tomorrow, on Tuesday, September 30, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., Louisiana Progress will host a town hall at Beanlandia, 3300 Royal St., New Orleans, LA, to present the issues and questions we included in our 2025 New Orleans Municipal Candidate Survey, the trends we discovered in our analysis of candidate responses, and hear from policy experts on these important topics.


“Our goal with this survey is to educate voters about how candidates stand on many of the issues that we think are driving the catastrophic rates of poverty and wealth inequality facing New Orleans,” according to Peter Robins-Brown, executive director of Louisiana Progress, “and to do so in a constructive way that will position newly elected local officials to effectively deal with those issues head-on when they take office next year.”


Doors will open at 6:30 for mingling, pizza, and music. The program will begin at 7:00 with a brief introduction, followed by a panel of policy experts to discuss the issues, with time for audience Q-and-A to close things out.
