Louisiana Progress works to impact lawmaking in our state where polarization is growing, worse policies are proposed each year, and voter apathy is at an all-time high.

The truth is Louisiana's elected officials aren't representative of public opinion in our state. Louisianans, over and over again, articulate a set of values we share: inclusion, accountability, transparency, and diversity. But those values don't usually make it to the State Capitol, where laws are shaped and policy is formed.

We work with partners from around the state on issues that are important to a growing majority of Louisianans.

With your help, we can move Louisiana forward without leaving anyone behind. And you can help impact change every time you share our content, sign a petition, contact a legislator, and most importantly, when you vote!

Louisiana Progress Action Fund was formed in 2011 as a 501(c)(4) organization advocating for progressive ideals and policies, while opposing bad policies and worse behavior from the Right Wing. The Louisiana Progress Action Fund was active in legislative issues, testifying and promoting positions on important state level legislative topics.

Coalition for Louisiana Progress was formed in 2005 as a 501(c)(3) organization providing analysis and strategic communications on issues with the ultimate goal of increasing civic engagement. Louisiana Progress published the Louisiana Progress Journal; issued policy briefs, sponsored regional forums, and worked with partner organizations on framing issues.

In 2018, Louisiana Progress has rebranded to better coordinate the work of the C3 and C4 organizations.
