I very much appreciated the comments you expressed on the Jim Engster program, Friday, 9/23, and enjoyed your quite forceful voice about the direction of this state. You are a treasure to this state, Melissa, and I support your efforts to affect change in this state, both politically and policy-wise. I also respect your appreciation of those from the other side of the aisle who are doing good work for this state. You very much came across as a NON-partisan supporter of the people of this state. We are very lucky to have you here, in this state, in this fight, for the people of Louisiana. It was a brilliant interview, Ms. Flornoy, and I am very impressed, and wish you to continue your work with this organization.
Of personal note, I was an AmeriCorps volunteer about a decade or so ago, and met you, probably through Kelly Greene, a close friend at the time, who was working with Volunteer!Baton Rouge. I was executing some graphic designs, and met you in passing, and you probably do not remember me. But I definitely remember you, and have followed your star, and your trajectory to where to are today. Please, continue your fantastic work, your gently confrontational style, and your presence in representing the under-representing people, such as myself, in this state. You are truly a treasure, to the people of this state, Ms. Flornoy! and I appreciate your continued service to the people of this state!
